Jasmine Jagger's debut album

For the past 6 months, Sound and Motion JHB has been working with Jasmine Jagger and her producer Marko Benini (Isochronous) on her debut album.

The pop rock album, features live instruments including drums and strings, making use of our superb live room, as well as plenty of virtual and analogue synths. Working with Jasmine and Marko was a great experience; the results are full of energy and are sure to blow you away.

The album is still to be released, so keep an ear to the ground......

DSTV and Sound & Motion make some noise

We have always had an excellent relationship with Mnet/DSTV and were thrilled to get the opportunity to work on Season 3 of "Tinsel," broadcast primarily in Nigeria but in many territories in and even out of Africa.

Recently we have also had the pleasure of supplying "Foley Services" to the broadcaster, which is so much fun and a facility we normally only offer for film, so it's been a blast.

Sound and Motion JHB teams up with District 9’s Sharlto Copley

Last month Sound and Motion  teamed up with Sharlto Copley (District 9’s Wikus van de Merwe) working on his latest production, a satirical short film about crime in South Africa. Although Sharlto is better known for his acting roles in movies such as District 9 which received 4 Oscar nominations and 7 BAFTA nominations, he is also a producer, writer and director and this latest short film is sure to entertain.

Recording and Mixing new “Lark” track in SA and UK

“Vampire” is actually a track from way back when the Mouth of Me EP was first released. We used the original Reason session and tracking as a starting point and were in close contact with Paul Ressel, who was simultaneously working on production from his end at Metropolis Studios in London where he has a production room.
